Honor launches its new Magic 6 Lite in the UK, boasting a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, a 108MP primary camera, and a budget price tag that makes it a contender as the best budget smartphone to kick off 2025.
Now available at HiHonor, the Honor Magic 6 Lite delivers improvements over the previous Magic Lite 5 and even the Magic Pro 5, such as its 5300mAh battery capacity that the company claims will last two days on a single charge.
Powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the Magic 6 Lite aims to deliver flagship capabilities with a 35% increase in GPU performance and a 40% increase in CPU efficiency. It also boasts 256GB of storage plus 16GB of memory.

Available in Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sunrise Orange, the Honor Magic 6 Lite’s design is similar to its predecessor, but its circular rear camera is more pronounced. Otherwise, you can expect a durable frame with SGS 5-star whole-device drop resistance certification.
As for cameras, The Magic 6 Lite is equipped with a triple camera system consisting of a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens. The 108MP shooter comes with a sizeable 1/1.67-inch sensor and a large f/1.75 aperture, allowing it to capture more light and produce images with vivid clarity.
The 5MP ultra-wide camera offers a 110-degree field of view, while the 2MP macro camera has a 4cm minimum focus length. While nothing major, they offer great clarity for wide and close-up shots, respectively.
Display-wise, expect a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1200 x 2652 resolution and a unique 19.9:9 aspect ratio. Honor is known for delivering fantastic displays for the price, and the Magic Lite 6 is no different.

The smartphone runs on MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 13. Since we’re on Android 14 now, it’s a shame it didn’t with this update right out of the box, as users will lose one year of OS support.
The Honor Magic 6 Lite is available in the UK on HiHonor for £349. Better yet, it comes with an Honor Pad X8 (worth £99.99) whilst stocks last and a 12-month free screen protection cover.
While many may be waiting for the Honor V Purse (yes, a smartphone purse) to hit store shelves, the Honor Magic 6 Lite looks to kick off the year on a good note – especially for those looking for more affordable phones.
