Honor launched an all-new MagicBook X 16 2023 to add to its lineup of mid-range laptops, equipped with a 16:10 display, a number pad on the keyboard and a 60Wh battery.
Now available in the UK, Honor’s 16-inch laptop delivers a few upgrades compared to last year’s model, including a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H, a full-sized keyboard with a number pad included and a 16:10 aspect ratio display with an 89% screen-to-body ratio.
Unlike the MagicBook X 14 Pro and 16 Pro, the MagicBook X16 doesn’t come packed with the latest 13th Gen Intel chips. However, for those looking for a well-rounded laptop that doesn’t put a dent in your wallet, Honor’s latest laptop could be your top pick.

Honor MagicBook X 16 2023 Price
The Honor MagicBook X 16 is priced at £699.99, and is currently exclusively available in the UK. It comes in one configuration, with a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H CPU, Intel HD graphics, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of storage. However, it also boasts dual M.2 2280 SSD slots, allowing users to expand storage by 1TB.
The 16-inch laptop is set to arrive in two color options: Mystic Silver and Space Grey. However, Mystic Silver is currently the only option available in the UK.
Honor MagicBook X 16 2023 Specs
As for its features, Honor’s MagicBook X 16 now sports an Intel Core i5-12450H with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, which is an upgrade over last year’s Core i5-1235U processor. Along with its 8GB of RAM and expandable storage, the laptop makes for a decent travel companion – especially at its price.
This year’s model comes with a 16-inch FHD (1920 x 1200) IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and up to 300 nits of brightness. It’s also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certified to keep your peepers safe and boasts thin bezels with an 89% screen-to-body ratio.
The MagicBook X 16 also packs a 60Wh battery that Honor claims lasts up to 11.5 hours on 1080 video playback and 9 hours of daily work. Not the longest-lasting laptop, but it comes with a 65W Fast Charger to boost charging speeds. Moreover, a switch allows you to switch between 45W and 35W power.
Ports-wise, you can expect two USB-C slots (one for charging), two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headset and microphone jack. For security, it has a fingerprint sensor on the power button.
Honor’s new 16-inch laptop comes in at 1.75kg (3.8 pounds) and is 17.9mm thin. Honor included a full-size, three-level backlit keyboard with a number pad for those that use numbers for work. It features a 1.5mm keystroke and “strong tactile feedback,” along with a “skin-friendly resin coating” to keep dust away.
It’s unclear if the Honor MagicBook X 16 2023 will arrive in other markets. For now, it’s available to order in the UK. Is it a best laptop contender for mid-range users? It’s no M2 Max MacBook Pro 16-inch, but for the price, it looks capable.
