V-Fit Tornado Air Rower: Rowing
This machine only uses air-resistance to create drag, so unlike other rowing machines, there are you will not find multiple resistance setting on the V-Fit. However, the basic rules of physics still apply for rowing machines, even when they’re stationary. Meaning the harder you pull the more (air) resistance you’ll meet. This mimics real-life rowing.

A rowing machine that only uses air-based resistance isn’t technically a bad thing. But, the higher-end rowing machines, for example, user air-resistance couple with electromagnetic-resistance. This allows users to set a predefined intensity, while also offering a smoother and quieter action.
The best machines, like the Concept 2 Model D, cost three times as much as the V-Fit Tornado Air Rower. So if you can put up with a little noise, slightly less smooth ride and no additional resistance settings, this becomes a great option for its price.
V-Fit Tornado Air Rower: Monitor
The V-Fit’s display is unremarkable. It’s split over three screens and details all the key information you need from a rower – calories, distance, speed, stroke counter, stroke rate and time – and nothing else.
There are no workout modes or games to aid you during your workout. However, this shouldn’t be a major factor in your buying decision. Even high-end machines come with poor monitors that offer little more than what the V-Fit Tornado has here.
The data diplayed on the V-Fit Tornado Air Rower is more than enough to help you use the rower effectively for workouts.

V-Fit Tornado Air Rower: Design
From a design point of view, there’s a lot to like. It’s made up of a steel frame and aluminium rail. This gives the machine a study (suitable for users up to 115kgs), but lightweight makeup. Handy if you’re going to be moving the rower around your home. There are also wheels at the foot of the machine to aid with portability, and it can also be folded in half to minimize storage space.

Unlike other rowers, this machine comes with a wide row bar. This is neither a good or a bad thing. Research suggests that wider grip will provide a more intense workout, and obviously, allows you to target different back muscles. Don’t worry too much if you’re not a fan of wide rowing grips, you can still hold the bar with a narrow (traditional) grip if you prefer.
Users will also appreciate its comfortable polyurethane seat and oversized footplates (that can be adjusted to fit all foot sizes).
V-Fit Tornado Air Rower: Verdict
V-Fit Tornado Air Rower gives you a lot of rowing machine for your money. It cuts corners here and there to keep the price down, and this slightly affects its overall performance. But in general, it’s a solid rowing machine that’s suitable for beginners or intermediate rowers looking to bring their workout home.
