JLL S400 review: Running
This treadmill has a top speed of 16KPH and a max incline of 20%. In layman’s terms, this means it’s powerful enough to challenge even elite runners over longer distances. The speed and elevation increases are marginal too, meaning you can find the exact speed and elevation suitable to your level.
*16 KPH will give you the following race times. 5k 18.45; 10k 60mins; Half marathon 1.19.06; Marathon 2.38.11.
The JLL S400 is one of the few running machines that balance a home treadmill’s need for a compact design with a wide running surface. Measuring at L 135 x W 45cm this is one of the wider running belts found at this price range.
A 16-point cushioning system is also employed here. This does two things. Firstly it reduces the noise and howl that’s can occur from running at faster paces. The cushioning system also eases the impact and stress running causes your joints.
The JLL S400 is suitable for any weight 120kg (18.89 stone) or less.

JLL S400 review: Monitor and dashboard
We really like the layout and feel of this dashboard. The 5.5inch LCD gives users a large and clear readout of their workout data (speed, time, distance, calories and heart rate).
Operating the machine easy thanks to a series of well-thought-out buttons that let you control everything you need on the treadmill. Selecting one of the 15 pre-set workouts is easy and intuitive. You won’t have any problems navigating your way around this treadmill’s menus.
The dashboard has been designed to help users incorporate their own media to their workout. It features a USB power socket, aux-in port, built-in speakers and a tablet/smartphone holder. This lets you plug in your mobile device and listen to music or watch a video of your choice while running. Note that the speakers aren’t the loudest or clearest, but they’re good enough to listen to keep you entertained.
The machine Bluetooth connectivity too, meaning you can connect to your entertainment devices wirelessly and control them via the dashboard’s buttons.
Located on the handrails are palm-based pulse monitors that link up to the display and additionals speed controls, designed for ease-of-use while running.
